This is Cooper. He is a six month old Aussie Shepherd that I rescued from the local shelter. He may be the smartest dog I have ever been in contact with. In one day we have bonded and he is eager to please. I will start on training him tomorrow.

He is a wonderful addition to your pack. I believe he will do his utmost to gain your acceptance and trust while returning it to you with love and dedication.

You did a good thing and Cooper know it, as do we. Kudos!

    :odie:PUPDATE: Day 4 with Cooper.

The little dog has bonded with me completely. Apparently i am his alpha. We work together three times daily starting with a 20 minute walk at heel followed by 20 minutes in the back yard working on various obedience skills. He will hold a "sit-stay" for up to 2 minutes already. When we are walking he will keep his right shoulder at my left knee on a slack leash. When we stop he automatically sits and looks up to me for further instruction.

Sorry to ramble on about my dog, but he is the easiest dog to train that I ever encountered. He is sleeping by my feet as I type. I am glad that we met.

Beautiful dog. Thank you for rescuing him. I heard Aus. Shepherds are very smart and loyal. How much do they shed?

This guy isn't a terrible shedder for an Aussie. We brush him every other day and are looking for the best food available to keep his coat healthy.
