We woke up this morning to find our cat Bailey had pulled some plastic coated elastic string out of the garbage can. It is the worst kind of string for a cat to eat because of it's stretchiness and flakable coating. Bailey ate a bunch of it too. We took him right to the vet where an xray revealed our worst fears. We are taking him to birmingham here in a minute to see if they can perform arthoscopic surgery and maybe save him.

I'm very sorry to hear this.

I hope Bailey will be OK.

I'm a big time cat lover, so I feel your pain. Pets are part of the family.

I live alone, with one cat who means the world to me. She's zoned out right by my chair, waiting for me to to to bed.
