    A hunting/killing machine. Think about the "Tasmanian devil" cartoon character but with the nose of a bloodhound and intelligence.[

    They are used on everything from mice to the largest bear, even as guard dogs. I haven't read anything on them used in Africa though.

    They are pretty terrific dogs and among the few breeds that have not been softened by selective breeding to make a pet.

    Hello;

    Hey nice dog there.

    I have heard good things about the breed (Jagdterrier).

    I myself have a fondness for the Patterdale Terrier, (or Fell Terrier).

    They have the same Hunting Qualities as the Jagdterrier, and are known for there Gameness.

    I have some friends up North (of Ca), That do Catch Dog Work, and also go to ground- With there Patterdales, (Mostly Nuttel and Gould Breed Patties), Anyways they sure are a trip. Most need to be dugged out, when they go to ground. But it sure does not bother them in the least.

    Good luck, and take care, Hardeyes
