Every Sunday I take the trash bags to the dump, I normally carry IWB at 1 to 2:30 well today I put my IWB holster at 5:00 went to the dump came home took off my jacket and discovered my gun and holster gone, I searched the car, nothing then I began to panic Thought I'd never see that gun again, I raced back to the dump as I pulled in I seen one of the supervisors holding my gun and holster, he had found it on the ground next to the compactor I had used, he had me tell him the brand and serial number which I was able to do, he gave me back my gun, I am ordering a new holster this week one that won't slide off my belt so easy.
    Regards
    DW

I have a similar tale that involves a too small toilet stall. Except I didn't ever lose sight of my Glock.

It'd take an act of God to remove my Kramer horsehide IWB (with belt LOOPS) from my sharkskin belt.
Quality gear more than pays for itself.

Very lucky that police did not become involved, possibly resulting in some sort of trumped-up charges and loss of future gun-owning privileges....

That's the thing about clip-ons. That and the possibility of drawing your gun and having the holster still on the gun when pointing it, embarrassing.

    That is scary,
years ago I tried a shoulder holster,
I was playing around it the snow and my truck got stuck.
As I was digging it out I noticed my gun sitting in the snow,
It must have fell out somehow as I was digging.

That was the last time I used that holster. Besides I learned shoulder holster are great.. for the movies

For the last 10 years I have used The Comptac Infidel Holster.
    I were it 18 hours a day 7 days a week.

I have a pretty active job and it doesn't move around at all.

Maybe a differnt belt would help also ? I don't think I could carry with out the Wilderness Instructor belt.

As for the Don Hume holster,
my wife had one of them her her Xd, one thing I don't like is they are fat, and make a thick gun even thicker.

You are lucky that you got your gun back. I also have a 442 that I carry in a pocket holster, but I would like to try a owb holster.

Wow! I would have had an accidental discharge, and not with my gun.
