I called Glock to find out the history of my newly acquired "lightly used" Glock 36.

They said that it's under a recall for frame modification.

The serial is GRC XXX made 1/06
I only had a few FTE (previously posted a video).
Aside from that, it's a great shooter and ultra-reliable with JHP.

How do I go about sending my G36 back to Glock for the service?

What does the service consist of?

And any idea what the timeline is once I send it in?

Should I mention about the FTE minor issue?

Any info is greatly appreciated!

Call 1-770-432-1202 and ask for the Warranty Service Department. They will provide the information you seek, and it will be official.

The FTE is most likely not related to the recall ...I have a G30 that is under recall for the guide tabs breaking, which only occurs a very small percentage of the time. Your frame is covered for the life of the weapon so there really is no rush to send it in.Call the number that Danny gave you and get some info.

Why didn't ask these questions when you called Glock.:dunno:
Just a wild assumption..but I think Glock would have better answers.

***Hint *** When you get your pistol back, call and ask them if they would reimburse you for shipping it to them. Sometimes they will do this if you ask nicely.

Good news for you. You bought a used Glock and now they're going to turn it into a mostly brand new one. You'll get the same slide and barrel, but I believe everything in the frame will be new, as will the frame. If you have aftermarket parts, take them out before you send it back, or you'll never see them again.
