Just thought id share some pictures of my glock 19 that i purchased awhile back.

right after i bought it i came on here for some suggestions and recieved some great advice from you guys so here she is, as it is :p

still want to do a trigger job on it, or actually just get another trigger set up ( i like the stock trigger fine, but i would be interested in swapping it out for a slicker one just for comparision purposes)

also think im going to drop in a tungsten guide rod and spring, any suggestions on which particular one i want to go with?

besides that im trying to resist the urge to buy a viridian light/laser set up.

anyways here she is, i love her.

    - hogue grip
    - tijicon tritium night sights
    - stainless pin kit
    - stainless extended slide release
    - stainless extended slide catch
    - pearce grip extension
    - grip plug

I love the G19. I had a G17 and wanted a compact and ended up getting the feared G32. But sometimes I wish I would have stuck with 9mm Luger because of price an availability.

I do have a question though....

How many fingers do you have?

Looks good. I had a Hogue grip on mine and didnt like it at all. Didnt feel right. The gun feels fine without it. You should fill in the lettering on your slide. Then the gun would really stand out. Again; Nice G19.

Did you install the night sights yourself? I so, how hard is it and what do you need to do it. Great looking 19.

ok... sorry took me so long here..

yes i have 5 fingers... i added the floor plate just for ease of use in grabbing and installing the mags... plus i like the way it looks.

yes i installed the night sights myself... i was originally going to have the smith and my range do it but he said it would take 1-2 weeks.. i cant be away from my gun that long...

so what i did was create a poor mans vise on my work table.. ( 2 pieces of wood screwed down to keep the slide from moving..

and i ground down a c-clamp to fit inside the groove on the factory rear sights... placed one side of the clamp on the block nearest too me.. then the ground down part in the groove and tightened... drifted right out.. no problems...

i was originally a little leery about the whole taking a hammer to drift out the sights.. which is why i used a c-clamp..

same thing in reverse to install the night sights.

i went to lowes and bought a micro driver set... ground down the correct sized one to make my front sight tool... drop of red lock-tite on the threads and that went in no problem as well.

so yea.. i mean installing them was no problem... i took my time and it was done in an hour or so...

better than waiting 1-2 weeks for someone else to do it for me.

Looks good. The slide release and pins look a little too 'bling' for me... well just the slide release. The pins are more subtle looking.

I like the Pearce grip extension but they're expensive to get for all of my mags.

Very nice. I use the same Pearce magazine extensions. They work great for ripping out the magazine (if I have to) and also for quickly grabbing the magazines out of my belt pouch when reloading in IDPA and training class. I stippled my magazine extensions. Makes it even a more positive grip. Nice G19!
