CCR did an awesome job. Got the slide & barrel CPII coated, slapped some Warren Tactical sights on and now I'm ready for IDPA & steel challenge.

    Here's the pics....

Carbonfly, here's what you have to look forward to with that CCR finish....from personal experience:

I had two Walther PPS's done in CPII a year or so ago. One is carried in a kydex holster every day, the other in a briefcase pocket - again, every day. One has been fired well over 1200 rounds, the other around 500 since the refinish.

There is not a spot, not a mar, not a holster mark, absolutely nothing on either finish after more than a year of constant use. Both look just as good as the day they came back from CCR.

Hope your experience mirrors mine.....congrats on a fine looking gun.

Wow! I am impressed with their work. That pistol looks amazing, and the Warren sights look like they will get the job done, too.

Good to see that the front sight doesn't get too close to the cutout on the slide. May I ask what set you are using (height/width) for the Tactical set?

Final question: What was the turnaround time from the time you dropped it off until it got back to you?

    Thanks!

I got the standard height front sight for Glocks. I've read that some people need a taller front sight on their G34. Once I shoot it, I'll know if I need the taller sight. I read differing stories. It still doesn't make sense to me why the G34 would need different sights than a G17.

I shipped my slide on 6/15. It arrived at CCR on 6/18. I received the slide back on 7/16. So right around a month but I attribute the extended time to how busy they were with their recent sale.

What a great looking pistol! That finish looks great, and I am jealous of those sights. Great set up!

looks good man. I think when I pick up a g34 it will have to be coated. Love those sights too.

Thanks for the information, Carbonfly! Missed the sale, but they've got some good-examples on the website, especially that Titanium finish they did on some of those SIGs which I'd like to have done to some of the used guns I've bought.

The FDE/CCR slide combo looks nice, too!
