Did you modify a 9mm mag or did you go aftermarket?

Sorry, but I don't understand the 'big ol laser' when you can get laser options in so many smaller packages. Maybe you can help me understand?

Nice although Id change the laser for a laser max, CT, or laser and light combo like the TLR-2

Beautiful. I love the rtf2 for some reason, it just looks cleaner to me. Is that the Victory 31 rd mag they sell on botach? If so, how does it perform?

http://www.viridiangreenlaser.com/advantage/productcomparison/ Look at the cost per hour for the other green laser. It is light weight, doesn't interfere with grip, does not add to width of grip, is easily removed, and has 7 hrs of run-time in pulse mode. If you haven't tried a green laser, you can't appreciate the advantage of green over red.

And the X5L has the light below the laser in the same form factor. The only issue with these setups is finding a holster. I ordered a Fobus Tactical Speed Roto Paddle holster that is designed to work with stuff on the rail from Midway. We will see how it does with the G23 / X5L. CC is also an issue. Best I can do right now is in vest pocket on leather jacket and cross draw, but it prints like a MF. :steamed:

Victory 31rd mag (Korean). Snagged it at a show a couple of days ago. It's 29+2-- 29 rds go in rather effortlessly, but you gotta do a little bit of work (hard press) to get the spring in the right spot to top it off at 31. Great performance so far, zero feed issues. The only downside is that it isn't a drop-free mag.

For the heck of it I'm going to mod one of the glock 33rd 9mm mags and see how it works, simply because that one is drop-free.

That's why I am trying the Fobus holster first, then maybe look at the kydex one you're referring to from Blade-Tech (it can be gotten for about $70). May even see if these guys can do something - http://www.alabamaholster.com/. I can get the 23 + X5L in my jeans pocket, so a custom pocket holster or appendix draw holster might be the trick. Awfully big cannon for a pocket though

They were $59.25 on Black Friday. Watch for sales.
