Getting a Glock 27 in 10 days. I've already picked up a Blackhawk Sherpa holster, a 40/9 mm conversion barrel, and some ammo. Any other suggested or reccomended accessories ?

Extended magazines. You can use G23, G22, and 22-round .40 magazines. Just make sure not to put any pressure on the extended portion of the longer magazines while shooting with them.

Welcome to GT and, congrats on your G27!

Yup, it functions pretty well, a lot of fun at the range.

I like Trijicons. (GL01) But, there are some other good night sight options as well.

My G-27 wears trijicons, an extended slide stop, and has a NY-1 trigger. Fill it wit Win PDX-1 or Speer GDHP 180 Gr goodness.

If you're not going to be shooting 18" gongs at 230 yds like hickok45, I would highly recommend XS Big Dot sights. I've got them installed on my G33 and G20SF, and am really happy with how well they work. Front sight pickup is very quick, as are follow-up shots.

Jeff Quinn from Gunblast likes them on his Glocks, too, but he prefers the regular-sized (not the oversized) dots up front on his to go with a Crimson Trace laser.

    Congrats on the new Glock!

anything more than that and your just picking up bad habits...its not really practice then....if youre a first time shooter espeically with the snappy G27...if at all possible, my opinion would be 50 rounds (slow and controlled) just to get a feel, then come back tomorrow and throw50-100 more...just a thought..i watch it carefully even with this being my first year owning a 40....just because you shoot 1000 rounds in a day doesnt make it a quality 1000 rounds....just some food for thought! not to get on ur case...

Congrats on the 27! My second - and most accurate .40 up till now. ;)

Night sights: I'd have a look at XS sights, Trigicon and Meprolight.

For CCW holsters, the Galco Triton is inexpensive and works great.

    Good luck!
