Prayers for your dad and your family.
In honor of one of Bill's stories.
I'm very sorry to hear about your dad's struggles. His posts had a way of putting a smile on my face just about every time. As with some of the others I read every single post I saw from Bill. What a guy.
Yes, I remember his story threads well. Hope he is comfortably reading this thread with a smirk on his face knowing that a whole nother generation is now familiar with the term "Slicky Boy" thanks to him.
Bill passed away at 1:25 this afternoon.
Hey Bill! Slicky Boy here... Eric says you're not feeling too well. So I thought I'd better write to you. I remember your stories very well. And I remember our messaging well too. Many good stories here on GT and later on your own web site.
Sorry we lost track of each other. I did write to Eric a few years back to see how to contact you but he didn't reply. I maybe should have pressed a little more. guess I didn't have much to say - just thought maybe we could resume our fibbin... eh story telling.
Don't know if you remember the story about the 1967 original owner GT350 that I tried to buy back when. The guy called me about a year ago and asked if I were still interest in it. But he drove it back in his youth - in Wisconsin's salty winters. Panels might be replaced but the frame and electrical rust was really bad. It would take twice as much to restore (virtual ground up rebuild would be more like it) than it would be worth. So I declined.
All my best to you as an American veteran and an genuine good guy.
Eric, I'm very sorry for your loss. tom.

My condolences. It's been 16 years for me, but I still tell some of his (my father's) stories.
