I picked this classic 1911 up for $550 today. Colt series 70 Gov't model made in 1974 I believe. It has a nick here and there but overall is just fine by me. It came with some old school Pachmayr grips that I swaped for some USGI grips I had laying around. I only had time to shoot 50 rounds through it, but it was flawless like a 1911 should be. I may change out the collet bushing here pretty soon.

Nice gun congrats. I like the beavertail grip safety but the old drop tang style was easy to shoot and never gave me any heartburn. I still prefer the arched MSH.
