My two favorite revolvers of all time and as close as I will get
to what Patton carried.
Is the S/W a K frame?
No sir, it is an N frame which was what the first .357 was and which is what Patton carried.
It was the “Registered Magnum” which eventually became the Model 27.
Nice. Going with faux ivory grips?
Funny you ask that. Whenever I look at these two I think I should get ivory.
Yeah he carried a 3.5” RM with Ivory grips.
actually, YOUR .357 is my favorite. The lines of the 3.5” barrel can’t be beat.
Thanks my friend
I have a 3.5” pre 27 as well, but the Registered Magnum is my favorite
" Son, only a pimp in a Louisiana whore house carries pearl handle revolvers". "These are Ivory".
Great line from “Patton”
The only problem with the RM is price. Those that are reasonable are usually rough and/or modified in some way.
All you need now is a Rem mod 51, colt Pocket hammerless, maybe a det Special, etc, etc.
LoL! Isn't that the truth. A whole new addition. Good to bump into you again Berto, it's been awhile. I've been busy with life, but in a good way. What'd you add to your collection in the last few months?
Definitely need ivory if you want to call them the “Patton Pair.”
IMHO the Registered Magnum is the most beautiful gun ever created. One day...
Nice guns gentlemen.
Patton’s SAA may be the most eye catching but he called his Registered Magnum .357 his “killing gun”.
