So... This has sort of fallen into my lap.

With parts and tender loving care it would be a 1985 Husqvarna 250CR.

The question is: Would it be worth it to rebuild? Engine runs, but likely needs a top end redo. Carb needs work. Gas tank, plastic bits, seat, etc. What would this basket case be worth? Or would it be more trouble...

I'm already looking for a project to build with my son over the winter, was going to be an early 80's YZ125.

    Any Husky riders here?

It is going to cost an arm and a leg. If you want a project, go for it.

But if you want a bike to ride, a 90s model Honda CR-250 can be had for $800 or so in fair running condition.

Even a 2004 or so CRF-250R can be had for around $1500. Nice bike if you don't want the almighty power of a 450 4 stroke.

Top end, and carb work should be easy enough. The tank and plastic might be a bit of a challenge as Husky is not as common as most other brands.

I think it'll cost alot of money to redo that machine i'd say at least $1000 if not more. But it would be a cool bike once done if you have the time and money to put in it
