Who are all of these 2nd tier announcers at every single game?
Oh that's right. Collinsworth went to ABC, which doesn't have any playoff games.
    Madden retired from ABC.
    Al Michaels works for ABC.

Mike Buck and Troy Aikman? gayfest
Greg Gumbel and Dan Dierdorf? Yeah they've been sidekicks for decades. Put them together and ....
Phil Simms and Jim Nance? Nance is ok but Simms grates on my nerves.
Moose Johnson is bland and Kenny Albert sounds just like his dad. I keep expecting him to say Yessssss! and bite a hooker on the shoulder.

Wow who did I miss. I can't put my finger on it, but the guys who networks hire to do multiple sports are never, ever, ever any good. They aren't football guys.

"Hi I'm Joe Buck and my voice is made for baseball." I don't know why I never like them but I just don't.

I'd rather go back to 1997 an listen to John Madden say Brett Favre 30 times a game even when he's not playing.

    Rant ramble bla bla bla.

I miss Madden dearly, he was both a legend and comic genius, his ability to state the obvious was unsurpassed. I always thought it would be amazing to have him and Bush team up.

My free HD signal via my roof antenna and sexy Sharp AQUOS TV allow me to mute out the commentators yet hear everything else, the crowd, the officials, the stadium announcer in the backround, the hits and grunts ...basically it's the live stadium feed. It's THE ONLY way to watch football!!! It's just more like being at the game.

.....did I mention it's in HD for FREE????? (!)

I like Buck and Aikman. Was that Moose and Kenny on the Chargers game today? I thought they were okay.

But, I turned the game off yesterday rather than listen to Dumbledorf (Dierdorf). As for me, the sponsors wasted their money.

I can't listen to Brent Mussburger. Not a Michaels fan either.

With 300+ million people in this country, you'd think they could do better.

I found the commentator-mute feature by accident while playing with the remote last year. It's AWESOME!

Well I'll have to look into that. I need a backup for my satellite anyway.

Agree 1000%. Simms and Dierdorf make enjoying a game very difficult for me. I was a big fan of the Aikman-Buck combo and still like Aikman, but Buck comes off *** a pompous *** more and more. The worst was Joe Theisman last week. Why that guy is ever allowed in a broadcast booth I will never know.

I wouldn't go as far to say tv is free but I'm sure I could get away with less than the $65 a month I pay. I love my dvr though, all the shows I want to watch are recorded. I rarely just watch tv.

Unless it's a live event or Spongebob.

My bill to watch TV is $0/mo. I manage to survive somehow without a DVR.

Al Michaels works for NBC (Football night in America), not ABC.

I'm one of the few who likes Dierdorf. Not a Nance fan, but I do like Simms. I preferred it when he and Gumbel were together a few years back. Aikman has no command over the language, but at least knows the game. Moose is really good, I think. He knows a lot about all facets of the game.

As it happens, though, I watch half the games while on my exercise bike, so I can't hear them even if I wanted to.

I know I know. I'm so use to him working MNF. Sometimes ABC would get playoff games when they only had MNF. I don't know why the change.
