My father carried one of those in his boot for 15 years. It's a good little pistol. Not as light as modern pocket pistols, and it's single action only, but it works well. It was the first automatic I ever shot. I still miss it.

Pretty much a .380 1911 lol..I had a Mustang II back in 1997 or there abouts got it in trade...I traded a Taurus PT99 and $25 cash to get it.(around $250 value wise and the Taurus cost me $225). It was a solid reliable little CC gun..but I finally just came to the conclusion(at least back then) that .380 just was not "enough gun". so I traded it away for a rifle ad scope package....wish I still had it but im still wavering on if .380 is enough gun...I think the more modern loadings for the .380 are making it viable or close to it...just like the modern 9mm loads are a LOT better than the stuff they had in the early 90's.

Congrats on the Plus II.

I still have my regular Mustang, along with the case and manual. I shoot it more often now that .380 is easy to find but I usually carry my G26 instead of the Mustang.

It's a nice pistol to shoot and to carry, especially if you're OK with cocked & locked. I guess it's not a modern design like the new pocket .380s and 9s, but still a perfectly good option for self defense.
