I picked up a new 26 yesterday and was wondering what are some must have accessories?
I will not change any internals and its got the Glock night sights already.
So I was thinking about getting a 19 or 17 magazine for back up, which ones the best balance of size and capacity?
How about mag base plates? Concealability first, not too woried about extra capacity at the expense of extra length on the mag loaded while carrying.

Also thinking about grips, Talon VS Agrip, will do some IWB carry so consider that.
Holsters - Was thinking a small fanny pack for those gym shorts days and maybe a Galco Summer Special for IWB or an MTAC.
Whats else besides ammo and practice does the baby G need?
I am off to the range with it now. Back later to see what you guys suggest.
    Thanks in advance.

Here are the mods I have on mine:

    DPM recoil reducing recoil spring
    XS Big dot sights
    Crimson trace laserguard
    Bicycle inner tube on grip

IMO, that is all you need. If you change out any more stuff, you may start screwing with reliability, which is what makes great in the first place.

I got Big Dot sights for mine. Great combat sights with quick target acquisition. I have a Bianchi 100 Professonal IWB that is very comfortable. I have several G17 and G19 mags that I use mostly for the range but do use one of the G19's as my backup mag. Several have grip sleeves a mixture of A&G and Promag. I like the Promag a little better BUT am not completely sold on the idea of the sleeves. They can get uncomfortable and pinch at ranges sessions. I find it just as good to use the larger mags without the sleeves and just use a regular grip on the G26. I also have the Pearce extensions on my 10 round mags. One is a +0 and two are +2. I do not find that they increase concealability that much. They give me a better grip. I had a CT Laserguard but took it off when i got the Big Dots. For me, it worked better with the Big Dots or the laser. I personally didn't like both. The laser worked well with the standard Glock sights. If you ever decide to get one, PM me and I can probably give you a good price since it doesn't fit my G30SF.

I have CTC Laser Grips on mine and love them. I also have 4 extra G19 15 rd magaznes with A&G grip spacers. Guess I'm one of a few that seem to like the factory sights, so I left them alone. Pic shows a G19 mag with the A&G spacer. I found no difference in shooting vs. the 10 rd mag, but it does make it harder to CC. But, I got them mainly for range use.

The only must have for me is a G17 smooth trigger and a few Pearce PG26 +0 or PG2733 +2 grip extensions. I use the PG26 +0 to maintain factory spring pressure. I also keep a mag or two without the extension to make the gun as small as possible if I would like.

What grips do you reccommend and do you have a picture of what you like. I am looking for one now and would rather learn from guys that use them daily then listen to a sales pitch from the company selling them as theirs is always the best:cool:

I got my 26 with fixed sights and added:
    Flush plug
    Meprolight night sights (green yellow)
Glock 17 trigger with trigger bar
    Additional magazines

G17 and G19 mags will fit, but I prefer the stock length.

Smooth trigger, 3.5# connector and night sights. Don't care much for the extensions (the +0 Pearce pinched my hand), but I do have some OEM +2 mags - for capacity, though, not to improve the grip.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I just got back from the range and the 26 is my new favorite pistol. A pleasure to shoot, functioned flawlessly, shot to point of aim. I shot it better (easier) than my Kahr CW45.
I was amazed at how the pinkey finger under the mag didnt bother me at all. Because the recoil was mild (compared to my CW45) the grip felt adequate and its wasnt moving around on me but could be better.

I like this baby G :rock:and this is my first 9mm. All my other Glocks were 45, and I had them all 21,30 & 36.

Shooting got cheaper with the 9 also

-good IWB holster (MTAC, FIST, Max Con V, etc. and at least a Nemesis for occasional pocket carry)
-GAP floor plates on stock mags
-Hogue Handall (Talon grip may be too grippy for concealed carry)
-replace serrated trigger with a smooth trigger from a G17 (#SP00357)
-some 15rd mags w/A&G adapters for range and backup mag duty
-more mags and lots of ammo

If you decide to change your Glock night sights (which are fine) checkout some Ameriglo Pro Operators or XS Big Dots.

Well let's see, here's what I did to mine:

    1. Did a 2lb no take up trigger job.
2 MMC rear and Dawson Precision fiber optic front sight.
    3. Drilled a hole in the grip and installed a made to fit G17 Jentra plug.
    4. Rounded the trigger guard.
    5. Smoothed the trigger safety and the target trigger serrations.
    6. Shoot the poop out of it.;)

Which grip plug fits flush? The ones I have seen have a slight extension (they don't fit flush)

mine is stock except for the mag plate with the lip on it so i can hold it better.

my wants would be for a grip plug that stays in place and night sites. thats about all i need.
