I actually have a decent-sized Zydeco collection. I like BeauSoliel playing it - if I spelled that name correctly. I think that came out in "The Big Easy" - a movie of a while back that IIRC, I liked a lot!

I like Rockin' Dopsy and Buckwheat Zydeco, Clifton Chenier, Chubby Carier a lot too.

A lot of stuff in this thread isn't even close to 'obscure.' Not if you're a weirdo.

I really loved this album a friend of mine in college stole from his dad. The album is from late-60's or very early 70's. Unfortunately I can't remember the artist's name so I'm hoping for some help here. I'm thinking maybe ... maybe his first name was Biff. Yeah really. He was a piano-bar style comedian, and one of the songs on the album was, "McDonald's Hamburgers." Here are the complete lyrics to the song, which I still remember 35 years later and will never forget:

Goin' downtown goin' to McDonald's Hamburgers
    I'm gonna stand in line
    Order one billion hamburgers
And watch 'em change the sign.

Laughed my ass off at that. Another song on the album was, "Garbage," a song about humans making too much garbage. "Garbage. Garbage. Filling up the world with garbage."

    So, anyone remember this?????

So anyway I'd better contribute something. Here's a song that's the beginning of a three-album mess of odd.

I figger its a multi-generational problem to say "Obscure" to everyone since there might be someone here old enough to remember the 1930-ish Three Little Fishies" as one of their favorite songs, when nobody less than 90 years old would consider it obscure.

As an aside, I'm 74, and all the 78s my folks had aren't really what I would consider to be obscure. But that's just me.

I dont think the post has wandered too far off the reservation yet.... but the day is long and I'm picking up some good stuff here.

So this was really bothering me, so I went digging. And found it! But not on YT, you'll have to take the links below to hear the tunes.
