I expect nothing less from the likes of MSLSD.
That's nothing so unusual for the leftist in the news media.
When Bush was President a female TV "news" person admitted that she liked seeing a high body count because she thought it made Bush look bad.
People think all that divides the American left and right is politics.
It's far more than that.
All part of the hateful intolerant left.
He's got a point that the word "hero" is really overused, but he's definitely walking a line here and I can understand why people will be angry hearing this.
He clearly doesn't know the meaning of hero nor could he begin to understand the sacrifice that our service members accept on a day to day basis. Unfortunately those who haven't served will never understand those who have. In a narcissistic society the idea that people will put there own welfare and comfort aside for others is something much of our society cannot grasp.
Another excuse for a male in this misguided world. I'd like to drop him off in the jungle or desert somewhere.
He didn't make that point.
He said: "I feel comfortable, ah, uncomfortable, about the word because it seems to me that it is so rhetorically proximate to justifications for more war."
Meaning, if your use the word hero to describe a soldier then the war is a OK.
Conversely, if you don't think the war is OK; don't use the word hero to describe the soldiers.
Taken to another point, this would be similar to disrespecting the soldiers during the Vietnam war i.e. against the war, against the soldiers.
Be careful ... this is how some pervert the good into the bad.
This is just another reason to avoid MSNBC!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They don't care !
They cater to their hard core audience of 12 people ! .....
Chris Hayes: An effete chicken-hawk?
Who cares what this guy thinks. Its because of the troops, and the freedom that they have fought and died for for 250 years that this guy gets to enjoy a hot dog and a beer today, and have the freedom to speak his mind, without having to know what it really symbolizes. If he doesn't appreciate it, oh well, that on him. How could you really expect him to though? I mean, like my dad told me, Liberals idolize the flag burning hippies that threw rocks and US troops coming back from 'Nam, I don't really expect much less from them when it comes to their feelings of the military. But that's the beauty of freedom, people are free to either appreciate it and realize why we have it, or just feel entitled to it.
Drop this loser into the valley in Afghanistan.
I agree that the term "hero" is overused and definitely misused quite often. Some deserve it and some just hardly. I think we all know the difference............maybe.
Politics.......you're a lot closer than you think my friend. A person's politics is very close to their view of the world me thinks.
MSNBC is still around?
Yeah, I figured I'd wait for someone else to post this one. What a homer.
I would be uncomfortable beating the living hell out of Chris Hayes. I'm always uncomfortable exerting myself.
Little SOB better remember he is in and has his line of work because of those who have fallen.
He is an idiot.
I'm perfectly comfortable calling Chris Hayes what he is, but it does violate GT's terms of service so I won't type it here.
