Do I remember what .... what? looked like back in the day? I was talking about Starsky & Hutch, old TV shows, is that what you meant?

    Or did you mean Arby's?

We got into more Arby's conversation later in the thread.

Yes, I remember watching TV on the old 25" console TV very well. Didn't mind then, didn't know any better. Can't say that now. I checked out probably the best video of Starsky & Hutch possible, streaming @ 480p on IMDB (it's also on Crackle, maybe elsewhere, but 480p is as good as it gets) and it is not enjoyable. Like many shows back then, the footage was shot on 35mm film and so the available resolution is better than 4k, which I'm sure they'll get around to one day ... after they release it first at 1080p and sell a bunch of those first. That's what has been done with the other shows I mentioned, like Rockford Files. Here's a 1080p screenshot from that show:

If they can't read a stop sign they'll get lost at every round about.

Probably the same people who think day light savings gives them more day light think EVERYONE driving around in circles is better than HALF the people waiting their turn.

Good thing I came along to explain - -

    1977 Pontiac Trans Am 6.6 liters, 200 hp 325 ft/lb torque, 0-60 9.3 seconds: 4 exhaust tips.

    2009 Pontiac Solstice GXP, 2.0 liters, 290 hp 325 ft/lb torque, 0-60 4.8 seconds: 2 exhaust tips

2012 Subaru Impreza, 2.0 liters, 148 hp 145 ft/lb torque, 0-60 9.4 seconds: Exhaust outlet hidden (probably under rear bumper)

2020 Tesla Model 3: Dagnabbit, I can't find any exhaust tips on this thing either. WTF!!!

(The Trans Am seemed quicker. Of course, it had lost weight from rust and parts that fell off, and the A/T that self-destructed at 12,001 miles had been thoughtfully replaced by a friend with a transmission shop who built it an extremely fast shifting monster.)

When I say thank you to someone who works in a store of any kind and they reply no problem. When did that become an acceptable response?

How does this explain running two exhaust pipes off a single manifold?
I mean, a 'V' or boxer engine can sort of justify dual exhaust having two exhaust manifolds, but splitting a single pipe to duals just for looks seems weird and unbalanced.
Sure, hypothetically one could have a split manifold or pipe off each exhaust port...its been done, but in the interest of appearance or mass production.....not likely. A pipe for each manifold seems practical and aesthetically correct. Duals on an inline four is a lie, dammit!

No stop signs in a traffic circle, only yield signs. The goal is to never have to stop.

Cup holders are for cups not junk. You can't criticize a person for drinking coffee which is basically essential for life.

I don't care if you addicts drink the stuff, just don't set it down while you're in my car. See, that's simple and everyone wins. :D ;)
