I get to go on executive protection details every now and then, and I’m looking for a way to discretely carry my mp5 navy model whit me will on the job. Shoulder rigs are out of the question because of the weather and casual attire that I use on most days. Maybe a lap top case or messenger bag type.

    I work all over Mexico.:wavey:

I'd go for the messenger bag or an open top briefcase. Gotta make sure it is easy access on the strong side but won't interfere with engaging a target once you pull it out of hiding...

You really don't want to know what that case costs. They are very rare and expensive. They also will fit the MP-5K model only.

I suggest looking at the Eagle Discreet carry cases. We have one for the UZI and love it.

The #16 will fit the MP-5K, the #22 and #26 will fit the fullsize with the telescoping stock and the #29 will fit the fullsize with fixed stock.

So what make a briefcase a NFA item ? or are you making this up and pulling this claim out of thin air? Is their a NFA suitcase or how about a NFA bag :whistling:

The problem carrying a weapon of that size concealed is no matter what you have it in the people will know it is most likely a firearm. I know you don't have a lot of options but you have to do the best you can.

Find someone in your area who does alterations/seamstress type of work, come up with an idea and have them make it to your specs.

You can buy one here for $2,000+ and the briefcase has been described as an AOW. Not exactly sure where I heard this, don't remember but I know you cannot put a non-NFA weapon in the briefcase (in the States) but I'm not sure exactly how you go about registering it, if it's just the firearm or the briefcase or the combination of the two.

I have an clone HK "pistol" and I thought about this briefcase but not only is it too expensive for my blood but also my pistol is not NFA. I have resorted to just a simple handbag briefcase-like carry option that has no operational interface to the pistol....so it's just for transportation only.

That’s a good idea; we have someone hear in town that makes some custom stuff like that 5.11 sling bag. The presidential guard, hear in Mexico carry their P90´s in leather cases that are very discreet, the problem is that they are now very famous in México, and everybody knows what they have in their now.

Ah, regular MP5... yes that won't fit in the briefcase, that's for an MP5K as stated. Sorry about that.

That 5.11 bag option is probably a good one. Holds an MP5 nice in that pic with the blue gun. Looks like something other than a gun case.

Not sure the Eagle Discreet cases are really that discreet. They look like soft gun cases to anyone looking. Especially the AR-15 ones...

Off topic: As asked above, how can a briefcase with some brackets in it, sans weapon, be an NFA item?

You are correct, it probably isn't all by itself but if you have a weapon that will fit and fire inside it, probably makes it an AOW $5.

IOW, if you plan to use it and pay $2000 for it, it's NFA; otherwise, go buy a nice $100 briefcase. My warning was to point out to anyone who was looking at this and considering the same as the OP but here in America, there might be some things to consider.
