I got my CWP two years ago in NC. I'm moving to Myrtle Beach in March and can't find any info about the status of my CWP after I move.

Will it become worthless when I get a new DL ?

Will it remain valid till renewal time ?

Will I have to go thru the process like a first timer all over again ?

Your CHP will be void upon moving and changing address. You will have to start at ground zero for SC.

    Best of luck!

This IS WHY we need reconigition instead of reciprocity.

There are better windmills to tilt at other than this.

You have to get a new drivers license when you change states and you have to take what ever tests they require to do so.

It's all part of the big "moving to a new state" picture.

OK, Bob - I'll bite... what does recognition have to do with a permanent relocation? I don't know of any state that allows one to keep a permit once they move out....
