Or remade. Top of my list would be a big budget remake of "Shane". With Timothy Olyphant as Shane.
Kate Upton does CarryTexas!
We will of course play ourselves!
Titanic II. HH
Stephen King's "The Dark Tower". It would most likely have to be a three-movie series, a la "Lord of the Rings".
Thought I heard this was possibly in the works.
Now THAT would be a dandy!
I'd also like to see a remake of "Zulu" (the battle of Rorke's Drift) with modern-day special effects -- but I DON'T want to see it reduced to a cartoonish graphic novel with British soldiers and Zulus hurtling through the air like wire-suspended refugees from an Ang Lee flick.
I'd also like to see them remake "The Longest Day" with contemporary special effects...But I really WOULDN'T like to see them remake it, because I know they'd ruin it...
'Aliens: Earth Hive'
I know they have made several movies already, but I want to see this one since it would be an all out war. It is a several book series where the Aliens establish massive earth hives and humans have to fight to take back control of the planet.
Sequel to "Independence Day". Those big ol' motherships were far from totally destroyed at the end and there were legions of aliens forming up for a ground invasion. That could be seen when they flew the alien fighter into the main ship to deliver the virus. I'd love to see all the aliens that survived come swarming out.
Final Fantasy VII centered around ShinRa immediately before the game began. And not some cheezy fan Liveaction flick or animated gimmick. I'm talking a real, big budget movie.
The Infinity Gauntlet!
It looks like the Marvel movies might be heading that way. I really hope they do, and I really hope they can pull off the scale and epicness of the comics.
Azimov's Foundation Saga (the original 3)
There is a story about a screw up B17 crew in the South Pacific. They were so bad they couldn't get assigned bombing missions so they striped and refit the bomber as a super photo recon plane. They survived the longest dogfight ever recorded.
Some artistic license could turn that into a good film.
Also the sub that invaded japan and blew up a train bridge.
I think that could be done as a GREAT limited-run T.V. series...
Dune, a quality remake. To do the book justice would require more than one movie.
Series of movies based on Julian May's "Pleiocene exile" trilogy.
The golden torc
The non born king
Dragoon 44 how accurate was Quest for Fire? Does it need to be remade?
Smokey and the bandit.
Hell why not?
I would like to see another Firefly movie made. I would also like to see a new-version Battlestar Galactica movie made.
A GOOD "Star Wars" sequel for episode 7.
There is absolutely no truth to that slanderous story that I ended the ice age when my back yard barbecue got out of hand.
Damn, those are two of the three I came in here to say. Third is a good Halo movie or series. There's enough universe material to make a fantastic big screen experience (heaven help them if it didn't follow canon....).
