Before I rent this movie on DVD I'd like to know a little bit about it.
I have concerns since I have been hearing good reviews and talk of awards coming out of the Holloywood press.
So I would like to know from those that have seen it if it is an anti war, anti troops movie. Because if that's the case I'm not interested in seeing it.

It seems like whenever you hear positive reports (especially about a war movie) coming from the far left liberal Hollywood media it generally turns out to be an anti American movie.
So what's the story on The Hurt Locker?

I think that all depends on what type of war movie you like.
I heavily disliked it just because I felt it was EXTREMELY unrealistic (I've never been to war, or even a combat situation, but this was pretty obviously far from the truth).
I don't mind a little fiction in my war movies (they would be pretty depressing if there wasn't any) but I felt this went to far.

Just my opinion, watch at your own risk.:faint:

So, you found it unrealistic that a guy could pick up like TEN 155mm with one hand by pulling a detcord?!?!?

It was a very good movie. Right now I'm reading "Eight Lives Down" by Maj. Chris Hunter, and it's very much like "The Hurt Locker", only real.

I liked the movie. Sure, some liberties are taken.

I know things have changed since the first Gulf War. But, I have been divorced twice:tongueout:

I thought it was pretty good. Lots of unrealistic stuff happening, but that's just what makes it more interesting and moves the plot.

I would buy it for the DVD collection.

Rent it or buy it!!! Very, very good movie. One of the best "war movies" I have seen this year.

You can see it online for free, not sure if Eric allows posting links of that type on here.

Well no matter what Leach says about the kid's Dad that is not how you treat a player who is hurt.
