Mounting lights

    Those of you that have lights mounted to your Ar's what kind of mount did you use and what did it cost. I am thinkin of mounting a light to this rifle;) :cool:

    Mark, you're gonna be pretty much S*O*L if you want something with that "factory look". However, here's my suggestion:

    Get a M3 with the little adapter for AR handguards.

    Then, drill two holes in your handguard to bolt on the mount.

    Then, your M3 will slide off your rifle and slide right on your Glock without any trouble! ;)

    Several of us use the Surefire G2, Samco mount, and Streamlight rail combo. Very cost effective at about $80 total, and vastly superior in performance to the M3 (which I used previously).

    How do you turn the G2 on? Is it a PB on the end of the G2? If so, that does not look too egronomic, even with a VFG. Tell me that is easier to use than it looks. I need a light setup and am trying to avoid shelling out for the M3X with long gun switch but want something light, bright, and egronomic.

    You might be able to use a surefire 660 type mount to the barrel. Don't know if it would work or not on that .22 barrel.
