With spring and summer time approaching, so is motorcycle season. For a lot of people, including myself, my motorcycle is my main vehicle for transportation during the next couple of months (weather permitting). I was wondering who all carries while riding their motorcycle? If you do, I'm curious as to where do you carry while riding (i.e. on yourself, in backpack, compartment on bike, etc.)?

    Cheers!

Been riding my HD for the last couple of weeks - anything above 45' I say .

I use a Serpa OWB cross draw for long hauls - but strictly kydex IWB at 4:00 for anything shorter than a 4 hr ride.

Never rode with it stowed anywhere except on my person.

I always carry on the motorcycle - for some reason people seem to occasionally take a dislike to bikers. I just came home from my first ride of the season - I carried in a Galco Miami Classic. If I plan to take my jacket off or it's too hot for a jacket, I usually pocket carry in a jacket or vest or use an IWB holster. When it's hot I always wear a vest just for the pockets for gun, phone, wallet, etc. - I'd like to find a good deal on a Coronado vest.

When I ride, I usually carry in a Coronado (Bren, forget about finding a good deal on one) vest. Sometimes I still use a fanny pack, but not as much any more. Lately, I've been doing more ankle carry, but that bumps up against the bike, so I probably won't be doing that as much when I ride. If I'm not carrying a real gun, I'll sometimes put a P3AT in my jacket pocket. :)

Here in SC, we can't OC. My smallest Glock is a G19, and even IWB, I risk brandishing if my shirt blows up. So, I pocket-carry an S&W 637 in a pocket holster.

I've been riding for several years now, but this will be the first year I will try to carry. I have a Kel Tec PF9 that I'll either IWB or ankle carry since it's small enough.

I ride and usually carry in a shoulder holster. I wear a jacket in all kinds of weather. If I have to take it off I take the jacket and the holster off at the same time making sure I'm not going to cause a scene. I also, when I had a KelTec P3AT, carried it in my boots. a cutdown Galco holster IWB fit perfectly into my high top boots. Other than that I carry in my coat pocket. I'm retired so when I ride it's purely for pleasure and I seldom make any stops except for gas.

I always carried in my tankbag on the way to the range. This year I'll have a CWP so I guess it'll be in one pocket or another.

No backpack, as it would cover my patch. I carry IWB/OWB about 3:00 and wear a long shirt. I've also appendix carried a Sig P239 IWB

Depends on your riding attire... I normally ride with a hydroponic mesh jacket in the summer time so my MTAC IWB is fine... although I usually move it to 3:00 from the normal 4:00 position. If just a t-shirt and bandana, then I boot or pocket carry.

Interesting question! I've never carried on a bike (local laws don't allow handguns, much less concealing them) but have wondered about it. One big concern for me would be in an accident. Gear companies already recommend that you not carry objects on your person (i.e. disc locks) since they can hurt a lot in an accident. I imagine a 3 pound hunk of firearm could do some damage if you landed on it in a crash. I'd be inclined to put it in an ankle holster or someplace else where landing on it wouldn't break ribs or your pelvis.

Then again, I'm an ATGATT guy and probably worry too much about crashing. I've done it once, and would rather not do it again.

After being hit by a crazy cager a few years ago, I wear a jacket with armor in shoulders, elbows, lower back anytime I ride, no matter what. It's never bad while riding but can get a little steamy at a light etc. But after walking away from the accident with only a very small scratch on my wrist, always have helmet, jacket, gloves, jeans or better and boots.

Oh and back to topic, MTAC and the days I don't want that a backpack.
