OK, one more time here... Have you tested it against a commercial MR73?

I'd bet some huge bucks that the MR outshoots the GP100 all else being equal. I never found them to be even close. I never saw the GP to be overly accurate. Its strong, but very crude.

I got rid of all my DA Rugers. They really did nothing for me.

If you can shoot 1/2" groups out of any Ruger you are way out of my league, either that or you are way FOS, good luck with all that. :dunno:

I could not agree more! Only a tiny fraction of shooters can challenge the accuracy limits of the better handguns. If you are better shooter than a CZ Tactical Sport at 50 yards...

I don't care what you did, I know what I have done.

I never tested your mr73 at 25 yards but have tested
many guns at long range, if you have not shot long
range there is no way you can know.

I did it for a living, had a manufacturing license too,
have reamed over one thousand chambers, don't ask.

Did you ever shoot in the long range silhouette matches
at 200 meters, I have, like I said, standing open sights.

Lets not screw this thread up anymore, sorry OP.

We're not talking about shooters, we're talking about the guns.

I didnt bring up the long distance stuff. You did. I test handguns at normal handgun ranges.

I said I've shot far better with an MR than I have with a Ruger at the distances I shoot. That's it.

If you can do much better, that's cool. You're clearly better than me.

In my opinion, the GP100 doesn't have the accuracy capabilities of the MR73, the shooter notwithstanding.

    :dunno: :headscratch:

    Whatever, I guess...

I simply stated my experience at 25 yards with both guns.

I have done that with the P-89. It was quite accurate. Always with the Glock 37. never with my 1911A1 in Nam. That usually runs about 1½ inch. But 1/2" groups require a lot of practice.

Best I ever done was a Ruger Redhawk and Blackhawk at 100 yards. Used Kentucky windage.

It's all good, and just a spirited debate, that's all, as far as I'm concerned. I respect your opinion and don't want you to think I'm busting your balls and/or trying to put words in your mouth, Simply responding to this statement that you made.

Was able to try a Sig 226 X6 and found it to be amazingly accurate and extremely smooth shooting. Shot that firearm better just about better than any firearm I have previously shot.
It is a bit expensive though or else I would own one.

Yes, the X Series is definitely in the running as the most accurate.

I would agree with all these suggestions. The important thing to do is go to your local shop that has some range guns for rent and try before you buy. I am a converted Glock guy because of all the customizations available but surprisingly love my VP9. I heald one and had to have it! When I put some down range I was hooked. It was almost like shooting my favorite Wilson Combat Beretta only half the price! I say check it out for yourself.

If I owned the most accurate 9mm, I'd never know it by my skill level. Those folks who's ability to shoot off-hand at the level to distinguish between combat and target guns accuracies are few. Those masters who's proficiencies can reveal the variances amongst target pistols are even fewer. Except on the internet where no one misses and mags never empty.

To the OP, get a Baer 1911 Ultimate Master 6" with the supported 9mm chamber and 1 1/2" guarantee. When you can out shoot this gun, then come back and tell us what's the most accurate 9mm and end this thread, it will still be going strong.:duel:
