OK... why? What'd Patagonia do, insult Trump or something?

I don't know where you got your list but it is incorrect. I used to do a lot of business with VF and didn't recall Patagonia being purchased by VF recently. I just checked the Patagonia site and it appears to still be a independent company. Those companies you mention and others are owned by VF.

The CEO of outdoor clothing giant Patagonia is burnishing her anti-Republican bona fides again, this time saying she intends to pledge her entire company to the “resistance” of President Donald Trump.

She against the President's plan to give up ownership of some federal land.

“We have to fight like hell to keep every inch of public land,” the 52-year-old CEO told HuffPost.

I think she meant to say keep every 'square inch', but who knows. John

We can't boycott everything. Each of us could find reasons to boycott the NRA or any other group or organization if we were looking for them.

The only company I actively avoid is Target, but that has to do with their advocacy of men watching little girls urinate and not anything firearm related.

I take issue with federal ownership of land. It is not authorized in the US Constitution and wastes taxpayer money. If land needs to be preserved, that can be done with covenants in the Deed or, as contemplated originally, by the state.

Anyone who cozies up to the leftist Huffington Post is not on the intelligent side of the issue.

As powernoodle said, you can't boycott everything. I'd have to carry an IPad (which I won't) with a scanner to detect every product on the US market that might be produced by some entity I disagree with or dislike. Don

She sounds like a complete nut-job. How did she ever become the CEO of a large company??

    True.

Years ago my Wife and I were sitting on the bed watching TV.

Some "Buy American" ad came on.

My Wife said, "Yeah, we should only buy American".

    I said,
"If we did, we would be in a near empty room, sitting on the floor naked, staring at a blank wall. Buy American sounds good but can't be done."

I'm not sure of the specifics, but I would be opposed to dumping National Forest into the hands of real estate developers and anyone who would make it inaccessible to the public. Hunting is a part of the American heritage, and just because the POTUS doesn't like to hunt, isn't necessarily a good enough reason to start selling off public land. The only place a lot of people have to hunt is public land. Without big brother protecting those lands, and keeping them for public use, we don't stand a chance. There are also a lot of people in rural America who feed their families from game taken on public land. A couple deer a year in the freezer has quite an impact on the family finances.

Now if it's just giving back what Obama took, that's a different story. And I suspect, that is the story.

ETA: I went agoogling and found that she wants to protect what Obama did and Trump threatens to undo, and keep the lands he grabbed in his last few days "national monuments".

    Definitely worth a boycott.

Is that her? Got beaten with the ugly stick for sure. I was thinking maybe she slept her way to the top, but now I know that's definitely not the case. Yikes.

The billionaire founder, Yvon Chouinard, is now 78 years old, and he was always more interested in mountain sports than his more profitable clothing business.
