I sat at the Ford dealership from 8-1:30 waiting for my truck to get fixed then headed out to do my sales calls in Knoxville. What a bunch of great people. I haven't met anyone in this state that isn't polite. Finished my calls in Chattanooga and headed to Nashville to spend the night so I can start bright and early tomorrow.

Checked into my hotel room and I found a brown paper bag under the bed with hypodermic needles and a copper scrubber pad (the metal scouring pads you would use to do your dishes in the sink) My friend informs me that druggies use them to somehow aid in cooking drugs.

Needless to say I am now in a new room, and am glad i have my 27 to keep me company tonight.

    Keep 'em cocked,

    Sr.

Well, it's what I get for staying in the cheapest hotel possible. Going into sales after being laid-off isn't easy. All of my expenses come out of my pocket so I am living on a pretty thin dime these days.

My wife and I go to TN. every March and absolutely love everything about the state. If you appreciate nature and great scenery TN. is your state.

My industry also involves overnight sales calls. I'm armed and also bring one of these:

    Stuff is called chore boy.

Knoxville isn't a bad place but I prefer to be closer to the mountains in NE TN.

Well, you are on the good side of the state. Wait until you cross the Tennessee river heading west into Jackson and Membabwe.

I've lived in Middle TN most of my life, and when I left the area to work up here (DC/Baltimore area) the attitudes of the natives hit me like a brick.

I was just thinking the other day... everyone waves to each other and has friendly greets one another with kindness and respect back at home no matter if you know everyone or not. Here in this area, i'd probably just get shot.

Yeah out here in the sticks you see somebody on the road you wave to them even if you don't know them.
