I moved into a new house about three 1/2 months Ago. I bought a used washer dryer and refrigerator freezer. They’ve been in place now for about three months.

Yesterday I opened the freezer door to get something. And, this coin fell from somewhere above me and landed in the freezer.

I have never seen it before. I have never been to Fiji. No one else lives here.

It is one of the more bizarre things that has ever happened to me.

I’m taking it as a good omen. I assume anytime money falls out of nowhere and lands on your head, it’s a good thing. Well, unless it’s in a safe.

Had it been a US coin, I’d likely think I’d left it on top of the fridge, or something.

    But a coin from Fiji?

    Pondered that option.

I’m leaning towards an omen that a hot Fijian chick named Elizabeth is in my future. (Glass half full and all that)

Older house. No obvious coin slots above the kitchen.

Best roll out that fridge and take off the back bottom cardboard to find the $100K in money next to the compressor that someone left when they got arrested...

Yeah, I was gonna say - stashing money around the house is shockingly common for older folks and drug dealers, a freezer is a very typical location for that. Tear that sucker down now. :p

That coin is the first release of the Fiji 2 cent piece in 1969. You'll be happy to know it is worth exactly that.

I've put coins in the gap between my bathtub and the wall to prevent flexing before caulking. Maybe someone put it in the door to help the seal.

How exactly did a coin fall into (what I am assuming is) a vertical freezer above the fridge? Is this one of those lower freezer drawer units?

I opened the freezer door. It clattered and I saw it bounce to a stop right about there. It may have bounced off door shelf like a Pachinko ball before I noticed it.
