As most of you know I am a Glock guy , but if/when I purchase a 1911 it would most likely be a Colt government model. I can remember when Colt's was the only mfg. of John M. Browning's model 1911.

Even I would make a few modifications. They would be............

    1. Bob the hammer to eliminate " hammer-bite".

2.Install sights that a old feller like me can see. Modern Colt three dot are not to bad.

3.Blue or stainless? A.Blue is very pretty and traditional.
    B.Stainless... very practical. low maintenance.
    Answer.....I don't know!

4.John Browning knew what he was doing. I would add no more .

5.Buy lots of ammo. Get to know my pistol.

You won't regret it. I've got two Colt's and love'em. When you get one, you'll for sure get another, and another, and another....
