What does soft-modding the box allow it to do? Can it play DVDs or does it need a controller? Thanks.

IIRC a modden box makes it so you can burn your games straight to a hard drive then you dont need the disk itself to play the game any more ..

A soft mod allows you to play dvds without a controller. All that you need is the program on the xbox which is usually included with a soft mod. You can also burn games to the hard drive but only if you have a bigger on installed. You can also make backups of you games and play those to keep you originals in good shape.

Does your soft mod include this dvd program? What's an RF adapter? The way your Xbox would arrive to me, could I just plug it in to the tv and start playing dvds and playing games, or would I need some other cables, etc? Sorry for all the questions, I just want to be sure ahead of time. Thanks again.

I can make sure the program is on there so that you could play dvds when you got it from me. The rf adapter allows you to plug the xbox into a coax jack on your tv. If you would want to plug it in with RCA you would need to get that cable
