    I will expand

I went to use the crapper in the airport lounge.

Two guys were in there using thier mobile phones. They were both talking away and taking leak.

When did it become acceptable to use the phone while doing your business?

And with smart phones that is discusting. Hold your #$%* or wipe your bum and then handle the phone. Hands are dirty after that...

But come on, don't they realize the person on the other end can hear the sounds of a bathroom?

For the GTers that do it...
    Why?

I tend to micro-analyze humanity when I'm bored as hell at airports too.

I never do that in public. In fact I rarely have my phone with me. But whenever I call my brother, I try to time it so I'm talking to him while on the crapper. My sister-in-law thinks it is the most juvenile and stupid thing in the world (I have no argument against this), so I do it to thumb my nose at her.

I have been told there are some upscale hotels that have phones in the bathrooms.

I am glad I am unimportant enough to be able to sit and not have to converse.

    Important.

That is the best place to go for peace and quiet. Why ruin a place the kids won't even bother you in?

My hand and body are cleaner than the bathroom door handle and faucet. If I skip washing my hands and only grab a paper towel to open the door, hold it open with my foot and toss it in the garbage will you start a thread about me?

It depends on who I am talking to and how important they think the conversation is.

i.e. Parents, I will put the blue tooth in and cook dinner, use the restroom, eat, drink....I treat it as if they were there (well not the bathroom part, but ....) We have long conversations at times.

Business, I have been called and told people I need to hit the restroom and they wanted to continue the conversation so....they heard me doing my thing. It isn't bad when it is a guy, but when it was the hot girl in the office it was weird.

I routinely talk to my shooting friends while doing my business and they do the same. Why not, we all use the toilet, why waste the time?

I don't talk on the phone while on the can but I browse the net and text.

If I may go off on another rant.
I see people at work occasionally put their bag of lunch on the floor in front of the toilet while they do their business. Do they not know what's on the floor?grrroooosssss

I'm usually doing something on the phone while dropping a deuce. Just something to pass the time. If I get a phone call in the middle of it, I'll take it.

I laughed my butt off! He snatched it out real quick and tried to wipe it down.

Well, assuming we are not talking a nasty bathroom...it is in a bag and the food is in another bag inside that bag,,,,It shouldn't be an issue.

But then again, I don't take food into the bathroom.

You still gotta pick up the bag and are likely to set it on the table you're going to eat from.
