  1. Any Missouri Glockers out there?
  2. Yes and No. As a MO GlockTalk user, I find GNG is a good replacement for the defunct 'Packing.org'. But, as much as I like the design of Glocks, and have a couple of knockoffs, the Glock ergonomics just don't fit me well. Happy Glocking, maybe we'll run into each other at a range some day.
  3. Yup, south St. Louis here.
  4. I guess glocks don't fit everyone's hands lol. I'm about an hour and a half south of STL. I've been up there quite a bit though. Been too a few gun shops up there that seemed reasonably priced, but I have not been up there since the craze hit. How are the shops up there now?
  5. In a word "Empty" Stock is pretty light.

Top Gun in Arnold has 1/2 empty cases, no target handgun ammo to take ( they have some to sell you if you are shooting in their range). They do have some self defense ammo, but the pickings are slim. Denny Dennis had a pretty decent selection of ammo when I was there ( they actually had .38 target ammo....), but maybe 10 handguns in their case. Cabela's did not have a single pistol round, self defense or target, in stock when I was there 2 weeks ago,but had a pretty good selection of handguns. Mid America arms is hit or miss on ammo, but has a much better selection of handguns.

Most places around here have not been raising their prices on handguns. When I have seen Glocks they have been high 500 low 600 range which has been pretty typical for retail around here.

Gun shows around here are basically a joke. 20-25 per 50 for 9mm is the norm, which is a travesty. I saw .40 for as high as 35 per 50 recently, and laughed at the guy. Most of the guns at the shows are equally overpriced, but every once in a while you can find someone who is willing to deal. My buddy picked up a used gen 4 g21 with all 3 magazines for 475, the guy had it marked at 599.....

I have had better luck finding ammo online, at sites like gunbot, or ammoseek. Waiting for the craze to pass before I think about another new pistol......
  6. Sounds about the same down here. I went to a gun show last weekend and everything was pretty outrageous, but I was able to find some ammo for my new G23 that i picked up last week and got a good price on some Hornday XTP 180gr 40sw for $17! I couldn't really believe it haha. Sounds like your buddy got a good deal too! Well my Dad was up at Cabelas today and call me to see if I needed any ammo. They had "Herters" .223 for $7.99 a box which is the lowest I've even heard of recently. I had him pick me up 5 boxs "limit". He said they also had some 9mm and 40SW for decent prices. That was about 2 hours ago so you may want to head that way! lol
  7. :wavey:

I live in West St. Louis County. Have a G26, Gen 4
  8. Lake of the Ozarks here! :wavey:
  9. Stlsailor, How does the 26 handle? I have the 17 and the 23. 23 fits my hand like a GLOVE! Its awesome. I have not got a chance to shoot a 26 or 27 yet though.
  10. I haven't actually shot mine yet, although I have shot several before. It handles very well, is way more accurate than you would believe. For me, it is really the best overall gun out there, small, light, but with 10+1 of 9 mm available. The only other mods to it that I'm planning are GAP baseplates and perhaps an XS big dot front sight.

  11. I'll have to try to get my hands on one to form my own opinion on the g26. I have also been considering the XS sights for my 23 as it is my carry gun. I have heard good things about them, but once again I have no personal experience with them. I'd like to get my hands on a gun with those sights to try them out as well.
  12. North Kansas City, Mo. Checking in.
  13. Just a little south of Mark Twain lake. Near Santa Fe.
    That is all..........................
  14. Florissant Mo here....I have a G26 gen3 just sent it off to Cold Bore to get some work done....In the market right now to find a G30 or maybe a G23. I usually hit up Bullseye or Metro Shooting Supply, their prices seem to be fair. As for as ammo I have been using gunbot.net but ONLY buying if prices are around 13-14 bucks a box. Im not paying 20 or so for 9mm fmj's
  15. I gotta pad in St. charles and in fenton missouri. Glock 27 3rd gen with a aftermarket 357sig barrel. :wavey:
  16. Belton, Mo here is Cass County
  17. Queen City region!

  18. Kansas City, Missouri here. Usually shoot at the Show-Me Shooters indoor range. Of course just like y'all I can't find any ammo either. Can't ever time the shipments right at Wal-Mart or Sports Authority... Always a day late and a dollar short!
  19. The state fair city here.
  20. Florissant for me. Any Hazelwood GTers here? Hazelwood got hammered with a tornado last night. Drove by this morning and its bad. There's homes that are just completely destroyed.
  21. The 26/27 line are fantastic little guns. They are every bit as good as the compacts and full size guns. Great conceal carry guns. I've got a Pierce grip extension on mine and I shoot it every bit as well, if not better than my dads full size glocks.
  22. Cabela's is really hit or miss with their ammo. I snagged some PMC 40 this morning. It's all about timing. Found 100 rounds of Winchester white box 40 at bass pro two or three weeks ago for 35
  23. St. Louis area here..........
  24. Do you ever make it out to Ultimate Defense in St. Peters???

  33. Nice!!! I work in Wentzville and my son's family lives in O'Fallon.
  34. Great place....we should start a Glock Club
    here in town....
  35. I'm just north of Kansas City. I buy most of my guns at Show Me Shooters. I've shot at the range there a few times, but mostly shoot in my back yard. :)
  36. South KC here, I agree, Show-me-shooters usually has a good supply of glocks. Nice shooting range there as well. Good folks, reasonable to deal with. There is pin-shooting on Thursday evening.
  37. Question for the guys and gals that go to Ultimate Defense. How are their prices for range time?
  38. They have different levels of participation. Anyone can go for $20.00/hour. You should check it out! (A new range is being built in Wentzville on the south service road.....)

  39. SW Missouri.
  40. Kansas City, Clay County. Show Me Shooters is where I usually shoot indoors, a buddies farm for out door & rifle shooting.
  41. Eureka. I can see 6 Flags from where I live.

  42. South central MO. I shoot at an outdoor range near St. James, MO. Pistol, rifle, trap and skeet. Membership is $100 a year for unlimited access. You're issued a key to the range complex gate and the restrooms building. All of the money paid for membership is put back into the range for maintenance, upgrades, and insurance. Full auto is welcome.

  47. I am having this guy at Trail Creek Trade install my night sights. He is only there Tues and Wed though. His name is Chris. You could also hit up Bullseye.
