I know it wont get passed (I think, I hope), but damn...Makes for a sad sad day it has to come up at all. MO is a very gun friendly state anymore. Not always so, but anymore
They should get voted out. They are showing their true colors, after all.
They need to pass legislation that anyone who attempts to control weapons or magazines are guilty of a felony, just like the rest of the union.
I hope they pass this law.
It will be nice to find out which government employee abides by his oath 'to protect and defend the Constitution'.
That garbage will not withstand an appeal. Cretins. Don
While we still need to make contacts on this bill, it stands absolutely ZERO chance in Missouri. I doubt it will be even assigned to a committee. We have a Republican 'super-majority' in both legistlative chambers in Missouri. While our governer is Democratic, he grew up rural, is a hunter, and has signed every pro-gun bill that has been put before him.
Whoever introduced that bill should have his face stomped in with a boot heel. No quarter for traitors.
You'd think that even a dimwit would realize that this is not even remotely acceptable in view of Heller v DC and McDonald v Chicago. Have to be a severely stupid individual to try such things. All you'll do is embroil your state government in lawsuits that they'll quickly loose and waste tax payer's money.
Thats the trouble with socialism, they have to stop when they run out of other's money. Don
Missouri suffers at both sides of the isle. Senator Todd Akins did Republicans no favors nationwide with his absurd comment that a woman can't get pregnant if she didn't enjoy the rape. Unfortunately, his extreme ignorance isn't isolated. 2014 and 2016 are coming. Perhaps Republicans can scrounge up some credible contenders by then. We can blame Democrats for their asinine ideas but, we can also blame Republicans for losing elections to these morons due to their own asinine ideas. Fortunately, this latest bill stands no chance.
