Looking at picking up a Minotaur Spartan or M-TAC.

Primairily to carry a G23/G19. Got my CCW last week and came to the conclusion the Uncle Mikes IWB universal holster does not funtion well for me.
Also, may get a M-Tac for a G20 if I like the model for the G23.

I am going to call The Scottsdale Gun Club (listed on Comp-tac's web site as a dealer) on monday to see if they have some in stock. If they do I may drive down there and check them out.

My question is in reguards to the 9/40/357 Slide model versus the G19,23,32 specific model. The 9/40/357 Slide will fit 3 guns I have, the other fits 2.

Does the size specific holster wrap around the muzzle of the pistol?
Any issues with the 9/40/357 Slide you guys have experienced?

Any of you own both the Spartan and the M-TAC and which do you like better? In terms of comfort.

I have a slide version MTAC and you might get a bit more lint in the barrel with the open bottom, but thats about it. I have a 27 and a 23 and it works for me.

The size-specific does not enclose the end of the gun. It curves in around it a bit, but not by much.

The nice thing about the M-Tac is that you can get spare bodies for any of the different guns you may want to carry. I bought the M-Tac for a G23 slide. I've got spare bodies for Springfield XD's, and 1911. Getting the slide version gives you the most flexibility.

    pinkertonTJ,
Not a great video but, it did answer most of my questions in one viewing. Thankyou very much.

    Glock75,
Thanks for the information on the spare bodies.

Exactly. I bought one (non-slide MTAC) for my 26, then bought a G19; the 19 works in it, though the bottom of the kydex is beveled in at the end, where the 26 normally stops. It works fine, though may start showing some wear on the 19 after time. Since my wife is going to start carrying my 26 anyhow, I might just order a slide version for myself.

my m-tac was bought for my 23 then i bought a 27. i just trimmed my shell down to a slide model size cause i mostly carry the 27. there are no issues with the holster when i carry the 23 though. great holster.

Have had my mtac for almost a week, and have been carrying my 38 ever since. Very comfortable and couldn't be happier with the purchase. And being able to swap out the kydex is nice, just in case I want to switch up my carry weapon.
