Time to get some prayers heading up guys and gals. There was some sort of explosion at a west Virginia Coal mine today. Last I heard 7 dead and 19 miners missing. Rescue efforts are currently underway but it don't sound too good for them if they didn't or can't get to one of the underground shelters.:crying:

I grew up in WV. My dad, granddad, uncles and extended family were all miners or worked in them at some point in their lives. Coal mining killed my dad indirectly due to the health problems associated with it.
Almost all the kids I knew and hung with had miners in their families. It was nearly impossible not to know someone who was involved in mining in one way or another.

I made up my mind years ago that I'd never go down into one of those black holes. More recently I came to the same conclusion about Bering sea commercial fishing.

I'd rather take my chances against the criminals.
