I watched a couple of minutes of "Militia Rising" for the first time tonight and I was kind of embarrassed for some of those guys.

Most of the militia trainees were obese, out of shape and had a general appearance that lacked professionalism. How can they expect anyone to take them serious or respect them?

One scene got me thinking....they have a "commander" that is training them. The trainees stood and saluted the commander or trainer.

Isn't that generally frowned upon....civilians saluting? Especially other civilians? :dunno:

I'll bet on the ghetto kids. At least they can run as long as they keep their pants up. HH

I watched the last 15 minutes. I wasn't impressed at all, and I hardly think I'll waste any more time watching future episodes.

    What a joke!

That crap has nothing to do with the second amendment, freedom, guarding the border or anything else.

It's just a bunch of wannabe tack-I-kool immature adults pretending to be something they're not. Those are the kind of losers that tell people in bars that they're Navy Seals, Special Super Secret Operators and lie about military experience.

Why were their faces washed out?
Maybe they don't want customers to recognize them when they deliver their pizza?

If they don't want people to know who they are, then why do a friggin TV show?

Notice how all their equipment was brand new and unused?
    What did they train with?

That's the worst reality show yet.

I'm waiting to hear someone chime in here as being featured on the show.

Civilians aren't under any kind of rule or regulations on this sort of stuff. They give each other the Spaceballs salute, whatever they hell they want. It's not frowned on.....

.....though it may be laughed at. Heartily.

I watched a little of it. They all seemed really uncoordinated running around doing their tactical drills. Not that I could do any better, just sayin.

Dam this could have been a comedy cold mine, just judging by the clip.

The guy that dropped his pistol. The holster looked liked it had Velcro on it.

The FPG patch was not to hard to get. Even the guy having to do all the push ups got one.

    :faint:

I didn't even know this show existed. I would like to see an episode.

I think if that is how they want to spend their time and they aren't hurting anyone more power to them.

You complain they are fat and out of shape. Maybe this wil spur them to get into better shape. Atleast they are outside and moving and not sitting at a computer screen wasting time.

These kind of shows are intended to show "ordinary people", i.e., anyone other than metrosexuals, as objects of ridicule. All these Discovery network clones (History, DIY, Food, etc., etc., etc.) are run by the same liberals who bring you MTV. They just package it with a little woodsy liquid smoke to make you think it's about something it's not. In their world "militias" are run by racist comic WalMartians so that's the kind of guys they seek out for their shows.

Turn off your TV, read a book, and quit taking any of this crap seriously.
