Lets get in the fight early and make Mike Cox the next governor. I heard him on the NRA podcast and found that he is running. THIS GUY IS TRUE TO THE SECOND AMENDMENT AND THE CONSTITUTION. Lets control this and not wait to say well...who's the lesser of two evils. Get involved.

At the end of the letter to the editor he says "I make no apologies for my support of the Constitution and the Second Amendment."

why the apathy?

WE NEED MIKE COX!

no one else agrees?

we have people here admitting to have voted for Stabanow and Levin and no one wants to join this discussion? we get what we deserve! Americans are stupid! we voted in the last president like we were voting for the American idol.

let me say it again, WE NEED MIKE COX!

i do not have the hatred of Granholm, like some here seem to have. she's a smart lady but has ZERO leadership. i did not vote for her, nor would i. i did not waste my energy hating her or even talking about her.

WE NEED MIKE COX!

we live in a blue state because of the stupid UAW people. they seem to believe that the government will take care of them. i like working people, i am one of them. but they, for the most part, are too stupid to vote. all working people should be republicans…because the welfare people are democrats!

It would be nice for sure. But, I am really hoping to be blown away when that 5 year thing comes around. :whistling:
I agree we need to change MI. and Mr Cox would be a good choice. However as past elections have shown The major city's and unions all vote for the freebies and nanny offerings, they tend to vote in mind-meld blocks. Until they can be woken up and learn to think for themselves this state is doomed to fail.

You nailed it!
It is not just this state ethier, it is the driving force behind Obama's victory.

I've been waiting with my tool in my hand.

Instead I think it's been stuck up my south.
P.S. you guys are the ones who can decide who is on the ticket. Don't just say "Wouldn't it be nice". DAMIT LET's ROLL AND GET THIS DONE. were all in this excrement together. Sign up and donate time and $.
I will vote for Cox as soon as he changes his opinion to allow suppressors in MI for individuals and works to allow SBR and SBS in MI as well. Until then, he isn't a true friend of the 2A.
Cox is one of the few bright spots we have. Compared to the damage Jenny has done, he is on the short list of people who seem to remember who he works for.

This I still do not get! The employment base in Michigan has been eroding for years and many folks think it is just a run of "bad luck" for our state. It is that "mind-melded", vote in lock-step for whom we are told to vote that brought us to this point. Over the last 50 years, we have set ourselves up for the perfect storm. Well, here we are and we have no one to blame but ourselves.

I really enjoy living Michigan - but just makes me sick to see the state dry up - especially when much of the root cause is because people don't think for themselves and are more interested in short term gratification than long term stability and self control.
Sorry but I would have to disagree. He is just another ******' bag politician, and his helping out Kwame Kilpatick to cover up the infamous Manoogian mansion party proves it. Wake up sir :wavey:

i have changed my position: AND NOW I AGREE WITH YOU!

WE DO NOT NEED MIKE COX!

down with spineless Mike Cox!

we need to find a new candidate.

a few weeks ago one of the local detroit news channels exposed spineless Mike for what he is. i will fight tooth and nail against him. He’s a Kwame supporter -- what an ASS!

Didnt we get the lightened CCW laws while under Granholms watch? Mike Cox cheated on his wife and family. i wont trust him with mine.
MI needs an EXTREME makeover, WI could use some too.

The issue was the legislature was a veto proof count. It didn't matter if she signed it or not. There was no choice in the matter.

Well said. I hope Doyle gets out soon and WI can have CCW. Then I will seriously consider moving back to WI.
I have recently spent time in Wisconsin and from a firearm standpoint, we are much better off.

However, with the loss of jobs (not just manufacturing), it is a huge snowball effect of which Gov. Granholm still has no control over. Mich has gone well beyond the point of quick fixes and the solution will not be acceptable to organized labor which still controls the largest voting block. So as long as people still have the "you owe me..." attitude, regardless of leadership in the state, it is going to be a long ugly road and will get worse before it gets better.

As for Mike Cox - other than his title - I know very little about him, so I cannot recommend or discourage support for the man. Then again, I live on the west side of the state and it takes a few extra months for news to get over here :whistling:
Met AG Cox at the Knife & Gun show this past weekend (16-17 Jan). From my perspective we're never going to find the "perfect" politician to lead this state out of it's current mess. But Cox at least seems to have the gonads to stand up to all the left-wing socialists out there who want to take over our state and country. And, after having been "blown away" by that leftist sl*t Granholm for the past eight years, ANYBODY (aka "conservative") is better than what we have.
When Mike Cox became AG for Michigan we had 6 states with reciprocity for cpl. Now we have it with 36. Mike sent letters to every state seeking this for CPL holders of Michigan. Michigan has always honored other states CPLs but others did not honor ours...
Yes I would love to own a suppressor, sbsg, and a sh
