Do any of you know how I can migrate data from a win98pc to a new computer. My old one is running slow, the OS bites, and I'm out of memory. It does not write cd's. it has an old USB port. Any ideas?

and copy the data over to the new drive. this won't set your configuration options (turn them ALL OFF, the fades, the popups, the nifty dog, the whole 9 yards of CPU wasting, laggy, stupid, pointless, graphics features!) ..

but you'll have the data files. moving emails & browser favorites isn't easy.

if using outlook express, copy all .dbx files into the corresponding folder; if using outlook, export then import the .pst file.

favorites are just stored in a folder. search for the folder named "favorites".
