I bought a Springfield TRP for my first 1911. It has been flawless out of the box. Downside, it caused me to buy another, then another. I have three 1911's (TRP, Colt, Wilson) and have never had a problem of any kind. I think people with problems post, either to complain or get help. Those who have never had problems with our 1911's have little reason to post. I sold all my plastic guns once the 1911 bug bit me. I have never looked back.
