After almost 30 years in Fairbanks we moved to New Mexico, but that didn't last for long. Moved back to AK and settled in Kenai. I'm a fan of the 10mm....got a Gen 3 and Gen 4 29, a 40 MOS, and a couple of non-Glock 10's.

Out in Port Alsworth on Lake Clark for the past six years. I don't EDC but usually have a G36 or G29 when I get to the big city every few months. Of course, when hiking around the lake I have the G29 on my hip and loaded for bear.

Loaded for bear...lol. I carried a 12 ga shotgun when out in the wilds of Alaska mostly hp slugs.....

Came to Fairbanks in 1975 and still live in the area.
For backup weapons when in the wilderness for years I packed a 629.
Also had a short pump gun near by in the boat, plane or camp.

A few years ago I picked up a G20 and after testing the variety of ammo available found it to be
a viable woods gun.
