You'd have a hard time convincing me she ever should've been in jail in the first place.

How so? I'm not arguing with you, I want to hear your reasoning because of a pretty heated discussion of this.

Well, she didn't kill him, did she? He killed himself. She wasn't there. You can't even say her text was the cause of him deciding to go through with it. He obviously had it in his mind to take himself out, all she said (texted) in effect was, "go on then, do it." see: Frank Zappa, Suicide Chump.

Her attorney wants to argue it is a free speech issue.
Just yell FIRE!!! FIRE!!! if you want to see people panic and get trampled to death. Then call this guy and see if he can get you off.

Wait! What??? Some criminal didn’t serve out their complete sentence??? No way! I can’t believe it, I mean I was just told by legal experts here on GT that convicted criminals always get lengthy sentences and they have to serve every day if that sentence.

At one point he said he didn't want to go through with it while in process, she then texted him back to get back in the car to finish it. She's an evil, ****ed up person.

He got out of the truck, this hideous little miscreant belittled him into getting back into the truck to kill himself.
She encouraging him to get back in the vehicle when he had second thoughts:
“You can’t think about it,” she texted Roy. “You just have to do it. You said you were gonna do it.”

You all can piss and moan but in the end it was the effed up kids decision. Suicide is a very personal and solitary decision. Theirs to make alone no matter what is going on around them.

I cite the proverbial man on a ledge who wants to jump with the gathering crowd far below yelling ,,, "JUMP"!!!!! Whether he does or not is his decision. ALONE!

I agree with @Grabbrass and @9jeeps it was his decision. He could have stopped at anytime. People need to know that you are ultimately responsible for yourself.

If my friend says, “I’m broke, maybe I should start robbing banks.” And I say, “good idea”, and he robs one and gets caught, should I go to jail for his crime???

She IS an evil person, she looks like a real snake. She didn't kill him though. He killed himself. I have to agree. Ever had a bad relationship? I had one where this lady threatened to kill herself if I didn't go back with her. I ignored her. If she had killed herself, would I be liable for her death? Of course not. This witch will probably burn in hell, but she's not guilty of killing him.
