Like it says just wondering who has one what frame Slide are you using? Who built it how do you like it? Just kicking the tires for a new build.

A colt frame would have been preferred. Many have used the WWII repro frames with Springfield slides. Really depends on which variant you care to have built.

I'm putting one together out of an older Springfield Mil-Spec with lowered, but not flared ejection port. I have the correct repro sights, installed a smooth MSH with LL, installed a 3 hole Videki-type trigger, buying a repro Clark grip safety and repro Kings Ambi-safety. Pachmayer grips installed, too. Work in progress. Just as a plinker.

I thought a true MEU SOC 1911 used a WWII-era Colt frame, Springfield Mil-Spec slide with what looks like custom sights.

Thanks......a friend spent a few years collecting the parts, took like three years. Had Rob of Alchemy build it. It’s a MEU(SOC) clone, works for my needs. Rob does phenomenal work.
