i just went in to a LGS with a buddy to watch him trade a mosin nagant and a camo benelli nova for a bnib metro arms american classic II. (yes im serious) we dont really know much about them except i knew they were made in the philipines. the gun looked pretty, everything seemed to be fitted nice, and we cant wait to shoot it.... pretty sure he did alright, he really wanted a 1911.

    anyone own one? opinions?

It's a hell of a nice 1911 in that price range. On mine the slide glides on the frame super slick. The trigger is light & crisp. I did a little tinkering on mine.

thats a pretty cool one. i did notice that for 500$ range, this gun seemed really well put together compared to the 1000 dollar kimber classic sitting next to it. im really excited to shoot it. i feel bad for my buddy, he works outta town and the pistol is just sitting at the FFL and he wont get it til he comes back into town friday...

I just got mine yesterday, can't wait to shoot it this weekend. Already on the hunt for a new hammer and trigger.

Got one used and after a little tinkering it runs great.. For the money a really nice pistol.

I had a Stainless Commander. It shot really well. It was very well made. If it said Kimber or Springfield on the side you'd never know the difference.
