    BOG's makitanong sana. ano ba ang regulasyon dyan sa pinas sa paggamit ng metal detector yun pang hobby. magbaksyon yun anak namin kasama ang asawa at gusto dalhin yun white metal detector. pero sabi ko, we have to make sure first. baka pagdating dyan ma trouble pa sila. any info is fully appreciated. TIA

    I know of NO Philippine laws restricting metal detectors specifically.
    Maybe somebody out there knows otherwise?

    Of course, you'll probably have some explicating to do
    with the baggage scanners, and possibly with customs if
    the unit looks brand new...

    Hey I have a friend who does that here!!! So far wala pa naman ako nadinig problem from him!

    Have done metal detector sweeping on some beaches here, and in Baguio, when I was younger. Have seen others doing it openly too. Never found anything valuable. The police didn't care, and everybody lost interest when nothing was found.

    But bringing such a machine past the xraying of incoming baggage is something else. Looks kind of like a landmine. As Horge says, better be prepared to explain and negotiate.
