Hi folks. I have been meaning to set this up. It is a memorial sub forum for Sharon (Mrs. VR). We have lost a lot of members over the last seventeen years, but no loss has ever been felt so keenly, by so many. She accomplished so much here, helped so many, touched so many lives. I want her memory to live on here as long as this site stands.

I have made her husband Jay (Vote Republican) the moderator here. I will leave it to him to organize and run this sub forum as he sees fit. I wish there was more I could do to express my love, respect and regard of that special lady. I hope this forum will give everyone a chance to share their thoughts and memories of her and to spend time with others who are missing her as much as I am. God bless. Eric

She gave me some much needed kind words years ago when I was going through some serious medical problems. Authentic deeply kind people are becoming more rare. Definate loss for all.

I look forward to seeing some great pics and great stories of that very special lady. I'll get some cool pics posted when I get my backup server unpacked. I don't think a day has gone by, in the last three weeks, that something hasn't reminded me of her at least once.

I think of her often too. Her, and another friend of mine who passed in September. She was young also. :sadangel:

Thanks for doing this Eric! What a great way to pay our respects to a very kind young lady. She is missed.

Looking forward to some wonderful stories and memories. (And about a million posts from GKL!)

I'm new and am still getting to know folks on here. Regardless, she PM'd me a couple times to help me with questions or concerns. She made me feel welcome and was very helpful. Sharon has a wonderful spirit. I'm missing her and I just met her. That's all for now.

She could be sweet; she could be wacky. She was forthright and honest. I loved her take on a lot of things. And she had a different perspective on a lot of things, being a lady and all. We all miss her.

It's a shame you never get to meet any of the people on these forums in real life. I envy Glock & Kimber Lady getting to hang with Mrs. VR.

This is an excellent thing you are doing, Eric. Mrs. VR was like the frat mom to an animal house fraternity.

We won't see the likes of her again any time soon.

    Best moderator/Admin ever.

Leading by example, trying gentle persuasion, or sometimes just "because I said so" with a smile.

    One really nice lady!
She PM'd and had some very nice things to say about me and my love for my Mother-in law when she passed this last year. Sharon, Thank you for those kind words. You were as sweet and caring as my MIL was. R.I.P.

I was following and participating in the thread of her visit to the Mayo Clinic. The picture she posted of herself on the airplane with a mask made me think how tired and physically worn out the poor thing looked.

The subsequent news was received the same as when you expect a click and get a bang. So sorry for the loss of Sharon, she was a good person. RIP

She was the mother bear of the forum, caring and loving but not afraid to smack you around a bit if you got out of line.

Wouldn't mind seeing her smilie modified with angel wings:angel::sharon:
