This pic was taken in October 1980, at 8000ft in the Blue Mtns
of E Oregon. As far as I am concerned, it's the only decent
picture ever taken of me. Not to mention that it was one of
the most memorable weeks that i've spent in the mountains.

Nice picture and a nice background. If you don't mind me asking, What makes this hunt so memorable?

I have a few hunts that I did NOT harvest anything and they where quite memorable do to alot of factors. So I'm kinda curious why you post this picture with no story. Tell us the story behind this.

Noway, I hunt to enjoy my experience in the outdoors. Harvesting
an animal is just a bonus.

On this hunt my wife and I met a couple that became some of our
closest friends for the last 25 years.

Unfortunately this past spring one of them passed. All that I
can say is that we have had the pleasure of a generation of
friendship that we will never forget.

Sometimes hunting is not about the kill, but the treasured
memories and friendships that develope. :)

    ditto

That's my exact feeling. I'm just as happy comin out empty handed as with something in the bag.
