I joined in 2012, right after buying my first Glock. I never posted an introduction so I'm finally getting around to it.
I'm now 60 years old and live out in the sticks near Ocala, Florida. I've been shooting as long as I can remember. I got my first REAL gun, a single shot 20 gauge, when I turned 13. I still have that shotgun.
I carried a 1911 for 19 years. The nickel finish was worn down to the metal and I was tired of carrying that much weight. I'd recently gotten to shoot refitted Glocks on police firearms simulator and I liked the way they felt in my hand. I bought a Glock 23 and I've been carrying it ever since. Now I have 4 Glocks. The 1911 was refinished and retired. It lives in the safe and gets out the range but it doesn't get carried anymore.
I'm boring myself with this post so I'm going to stop.
