Yeah, sounds like this had zero to do with him being a vet.
The Manager was within his rights. If I open carry, perfectly Legal, and a store owner or manager ask's me to leave, I have to go. Sounds like the Veteran was trying to make it something it was not.
Being an ***hole and making all those he identifies with (veterans) look like ***holes.
Something those of us in the gun/shooting community are all too familiar with. With all the thousands of normal-looking people at the Virginia Capitol Monday, try finding a picture in the mainstream news that doesn't feature a bunch of mall ninjas dressed up for Comic-Con front and center.
Sounds like the veteran was being a ******bag. Your service to this country doesn't give you an all access pass to do whatever the **** you want.
Go through the damn drive-thru.
And it could also have been handled a little differently; Hey bud, you know what...your meal is on the house, just step outside and I will bring it to you...no harm, no foul...many different ways this could have been handled...having been a small business owner myself, I lean towards taking whatever action possible to keep everyone happy...and if it costs me a 3$ meal...no biggie
Was he ordering a Happy meal?
May not have worked.
2 dummies met....
"I fought for this country, I deserve to be here,” Nagel told KING-TV.
That's not how it works, Nagel.
I agree, but I haven't seen a $3 meal at McDonalds since 1982...
The way I see it once youv served you still represent that service for the rest of your life.
So act like it. The manager didn't know the law and acted like a Horses rear end but thats no reason to take a nothing and turn it into a something. The fact that some American's exist who will never have anything but contempt for the military and police is just fact so you have to live with it. You can crawl thru a fire and save their kids and still they will hate you.
One of their turd burgers really isn't worth elevating your blood pressure.
Actually, I got a BK croissandwich, home fries, and coffee for $2.13 earlier this month.
but I had a survey coupon..............................
So apparently McDonald's too has an Impossible Burger.
Link won't load for me. Tried three times.
But you guys are making it sound like the guy was at least being a jerk. So I trust your judgement.
You consider McDonald's a step UP from Army Chow?
I just tried to get back to it to post the good parts for you and now it won't load for me either.
Basically, he came in wearing a 4 inch blade around his neck and the manager said hide it and you're welcome here. Since open carry was legal in the jurisdiction, he declined.
And went hungry.
And then *****ed about it.
I meant the actual cost of a mgr giving a meal to the vet...probably even less than 3
