I have a few of the MBUS Gen I's and I love them!! I like them much better than my BUIS on other guns.

But I'm curious what the differences are between the Gen I's and Gen II's? Is it really worth getting the Gen II's?

The reason I ask is because I think Cabelas has the Gen I's but I can get it for free with my points.

    Thanks

The Gen 2's have a lower profile to better fit under/by optics etc.

    Thanks for that.

I'll be calling Cabelas tomorrow to see which they carry.

While I don't plan on putting any other optics on the budget AR I just built, in the future I might use it on another one of my AR's that do have other scopes/sights.

    Thanks

The front sight post is better fit too.
